Ethan Pellegrino
Co-founder, Director of Photography
Ethan grew up on ski films, stoke, sugar-free Red Bull, and an endless do more attitude. Coming up, he learned the ropes from some of New England’s raddest directors, DPs, and photographers.
After studying business and communication at URI, he has integrated with several internal marketing teams and has built a skillset not just in the production landscape, but simultaneously developed methodologies to help brands understand what they would most benefit from projects.
Ethan is also recently gluten-free, yet the bulk of his recent projects were for beer companies. Regardless, for him, the stoke never dies. Creating films has been a lifelong passion, and he is always on the hunt to tell stories that inspire change, excite, and open eyes to new possibilities.
Jacob Ballin
Co-founder, Drone Pilot
Jacob is a Boston-based drone pilot, cam op, and video editor. He fell in love with photography at a young age, and a high school English class ignited his love for making short films. After graduating with a BFA in Filmmaking from Champlain College, he spent 5 years honing his skills at a local video production company.
In early 2020, Jacob taught himself how to fly FPV drones for fun. Within a few months, he started putting his skills to use flying for clients like the Boston Red Sox, Boston Public Library, and Encore Boston. He’s also worked on documentaries for Netflix and HBO, traveled around the country to work as the aerial unit for NFL Films and the NHL, flown an FPV drone through an F-15’s engine bay for the US Air Force, and so much more.
Jacob hopes to continue to push the boundaries of drone technology at Outpost.
