Shot in West End, Grand Bahama, this mini documentary for West End Ecology Tours follows Keith Cooper, known locally as “The Stingray Whisperer,” and his extraordinary bond with southern stingrays. Directed by Madeline Kennedy, the film was created to capture Keith’s deep love for nature and the stingrays he’s devoted his life to. It highlights why experiences like his tour matter, showing how a single encounter with wildlife can shift perspectives and inspire lasting appreciation for the ocean. The piece dives into the tour experience itself, showing the way Keith interacts with the stingrays and the sense of wonder it creates for guests. The Stingray Whisperer played at the San Francisco International Airport for Earth Month 2025, was named one of the top ten films at the Houston Underwater Film Festival, and will screen at the Bahamas International Film Festival in November.
